Photo requests

Writing a clear photo request

When you order through a shopping agent, the parcel is received in a warehouse and someone there photographs it before it ships onward. Those staff photograph what you ask for. A request like “send QC” usually gets you one quick front shot; a request that names the surface and the reason gets you frames you can judge. This page is about the wording. It does not send anything — there is no form here, and this site cannot lodge a request with CSSBuy or anyone else on your behalf.

Start by naming the item and the variant

Many listings cover several colours, sizes or styles. If your request does not say which one you mean, the photo may show a different unit than the one packed for you. State the colour, the size, and the style number or option name exactly as you selected it.

Ask for specific angles, not “more photos”

Decide what you are worried about, then ask for the frame that answers it. A useful default set for clothing:

  • Front laid flat and back laid flat — overall shape, colour and obvious flaws.
  • Any logo, print or embroidery filling the frame — placement, spelling and alignment.
  • The interior size and care label, close and in focus — the marked size and wash symbols.
  • Seams and stitching along the shoulders or sides — loose threads, skipped stitches.
  • Hardware (zips, buttons, buckles) opened and closed — that it runs and sits correctly.
  • Every piece of a set together — so nothing is missing before it ships.

Ask for conditions, too

The best angle is useless if the photo is dark or blurred. It is fair to ask for daylight or neutral indoor light, sharp focus on close-ups, and the item laid flat on a plain surface rather than held up at arm's length.

Copy-ready requests

Paste one of these into your agent's request field and edit the details in brackets. They are neutral wording, not a promise about how any platform will respond.

“Please send clear, in-focus photos taken in daylight: the front laid flat, the back laid flat, and a close-up of the interior size and care label so the printed size is readable.”

Ready to copy

“I ordered the [colour] in size [size]. Before shipping, please confirm with photos that the item matches this variant and that all pieces of the set are included.”

Ready to copy

“Please photograph the [logo / front print] filling the frame so I can check the placement and that the text is spelled and aligned correctly.”

Ready to copy

“Please open and close the main zip and photograph it, and show a close-up of the shoulder and side seams so I can check the stitching.”

What a photo request will not do

A clear request gets you a better look at the item. It does not turn a quality check into an authenticity test, a fit guarantee or a safety inspection. Before you decide what to ask for, it is worth reading what visual inspection cannot establish and, for numbers, reading visible measurements carefully.

How many photos are included, whether extra photos or video cost anything, and how long the warehouse holds a parcel are set by the platform and change over time. Those figures are not reproduced here — see checking current photo-service terms.
