Hoodies & Sweaters: QC checklist and references

Hoodies, sweatshirts and knit sweaters are judged mostly on print or embroidery quality and on how the fabric is finished. A quality check is useful here for reading the knit or fleece up close and for checking that graphics are aligned and clean, which small listing thumbnails rarely show.

50 hoodies, sweatshirts & knits in this reference set — 44 with inspection photos published on their source listing.

Before this type of item ships, ask for

  • Print or embroidery close-up. Ask for the graphic filling the frame so you can see alignment and any loose threads.
  • Knit gauge and surface. For sweaters, a close photo of the knit to judge density and early pilling.
  • Ribbing at cuffs and hem. Confirm the ribbing is even and holds its shape.
  • Hood and drawcord. Photographed flat, with both cord ends visible.
  • Interior seams. Turned inside out where possible to check overlock stitching.
  • Size label. A readable close-up of the interior size tag.

Copy-ready wording for these requests is in the photo-request guide. A quality check confirms visible details only — it is not an authenticity test.
